

Page Lee Harmon, 84, of 104 Pruitt Drive, Fieldale, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Stanleytown Rehab Center. He was born in Floyd, on January 17, 1928 to the late Leonard Lee Harmon and Lettie T. Dickerson Harmon, He served in the United States Army during World War II and he was retired from South East Container where he was a box machinist. Page was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as deacon and a one of the main greeters. He was a member of the V.F.W. and Woodman of the World.
Surviving is his wife, Doris Sutphin Harmon of the home, one daughter, Carol Harmon Stone of Bassett, one son, Ronald Wayne Harmon of Bassett, one half brother, Charles Harmon of Floyd, one sister, Opal Strader of Ruffin, NC, two half sisters, Estelle Johnson of Florida and Annie Laura Brammer of Roanoke, five grandchildren, Melissa Harmon Smith, Matthew Page Harmon, Angela Stone Wood, Westley Joe Stone and Elizabeth Cheyenne Stone; five great grandchildren, Russell Matt Smith, Dustin Wayne Smith, Joshua Tyler Jacobson, Lauren Ashley Wood and Evan Michael Wood.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home of Bassett with Rev. Doug Ramsey and Rev. J.D. Harmon officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park with full military honors provided by the Martinsville-Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home of Bassett and other times at the home.
