Raymond Ward

Raymond “Doc” Ward, 91, of Martinsville, VA, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gertrude “Trudy” Ward He is also survived by his daughter, Bonnie Freeman; daughter in law, Stuart Pannill Ward; two grandsons, Andy (Casey) Atkins and Chris (Susan) Atkins and four great-grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Jean, and son, S. Ray, five brothers and two sisters. A graveside service will be held at the Ward Family Cemetery, 561 Marigold Road, Martinsville, VA at 12:00PM on Monday, November 26, 2018. The visitation will be an hour prior to the service at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ward Family Cemetery, 561 Marigold Road, Martinsville, VA 24112.
