Billie Joe Gregory

Billie Joe Gregory passed away on June 19, 2010. Billie was born September 19, 1924 to John Franklin Gregory and Lula May Murphy. Billie was married to Flossie Mae Rhodes who preceded him in death. Son Michael W. Gregory also preceded him in death. He is survived by his, daughter Sharlotte A. Vaught, and son’s Robert D., John F. and Jeffery L. Gregory. Billie is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Billie is a veteran of WW II, serving with the U.S. Army. Billie worked for 39 years with the Texas Department of Transportation, and enjoyed many years after retirement fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. Billie also had a special place in his heart for animals, and loved to care for his dogs. Billie will be dearly missed, but he has returned to the lord’s house. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home in Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bastrop, Texas.
