Carroll was a plumber, but he may be most remembered as the co-owner and operator of Crosstown Bar-B-Q in Elgin, Texas.
His first love was his family. This was closely followed by his love for golf. He was a man not afraid to speak his mind and sometimes this came back to bite him. He helped others when at all possible and his family never wanted for anything. He had his faults, but he had a good heart.
He is survived by: his wife, Jo Grady; his son Scott Grady; his daughter Melissa Grady; brothers, Forrest Grady, Mike Grady, Craig Grady, and Tommy Grady; and a sister Sandra Cole.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00am Monday, May 16, 2016 at the funeral home and burial will follow in Lawhon Springs Cemetery near BeauKiss in Lee County, Texas
