Adam Wayne Miley

Adam Wayne Miley was born June 13th, 1987 in Baton Rouge and passed away on Friday, May 6th, 2022 at the age of 34. Adam was a graduate of Episcopal High School, the class of 2005. He continued his education earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University, the class of 2010. Adam was a Business Manager at Allied Systems for the past 11 years.

He loved all sports; played recreational league basketball any chance he got, enjoyed weightlifting and snowboarding, and was a naturally talented drummer. One of Adam's greatest loves was his beloved dog, Bear. He was a loyal friend with a contagious smile who never met a stranger and made everyone he ever encountered feel like the most important person in the room. Adam was a great listener and a curious and kind soul, always seeking knowledge. He was an extremely intelligent man and dreamed of being on Jeopardy one day. Adam lifted and motivated all those that were lucky to be in his presence. He found everyone interesting and made a point to make them feel special. Adam was dearly loved and cherished by his family and friends, and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents; mother, Laura Lea Rich of Baton Rouge; father, Truett Wayne Miley (Courtney Randall Jones) of Baton Rouge; his siblings; Kristin Renee Diable of New Orleans, Erin Nicole Miley, and Carson Lee Rich of Baton Rouge; his paternal grandmother, Nelda Lou Pilgreen of Baton Rouge; uncles Steven Price Miley and Alan Math Miley, aunts Lara Kristen Miley (Laurie Wingate Hamilton) and Debra Maddox Fournet (Louis Fournet) all of Baton Rouge as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Adam was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Mellie Hodge Rich; maternal grandfather Joseph Alvin Rich; paternal grandfather Malcolm Wayne Miley; uncles Douglas Rich and Steven Rich.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made in Adam's name to the charity of your own choice.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12th at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. from 12 noon until hour of service at 2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Micky Joiner, Nakia Wyatt, Blake Ross, Bennett Brabham, Mark Grant, Jason Ross, David Graham, and Brandon Maddox.
