

Adria Elizabeth Landry Ellis, known to family and friends as Willow, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020. She was born November 19, 1945, at Mercy Hospital in New Orleans. She was the third daughter of Vera Zaehringer Landry and Louis Adrian Landry. She is survived by her husband Henry David Ellis, Jr., son Henry David Ellis, III and wife Staci, and daughter, Katherine Ellis Howland and husband William, and 6 grandchildren, Dexter David and his wife, Genna, Abigail Elizabeth, Benjamin Patrick and McGuire Matthew Ellis and Elizabeth Ann and William Merrill Howland Jr. and her two sisters Ann and Mimi Landry. She was known as the life of the party and for her outgoing and vivacious spirit. She spent her life devoted to her family and her love of Interior Design, having designed many homes and offices in and around Baton Rouge and throughout South East Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.
In her own words: “I thank all of my family and beautiful friends for taking such good care of me; for the wonderful home-cooked meals delivered to our doorstep regularly, for the weekly visits that so lifted my spirits, for the many rides to appointments and functions, for the laughs and the delicious martinis. You know who you are. Thanks to you all, I had a good time to the end.”
A private memorial service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 15615 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70817.
