Alice Faye McCormick, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Greenwell Springs, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at the age of 53. Ms. McCormick was a nurse specializing in infection control, trained in homeland security. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Istrouma Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ron Lambe and the Rev. Matt Surber. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joe McCormick, C.B. Lewis, Robert Arnold, Charles Brou, Don Powers and James McCormick. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Becky McCormick; sister and brother-in-law, Shelia and C.B. Lewis; five nieces, five nephews and four foster children. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clara McCormick. Alice was an active member at Istrouma Baptist Church, sang in the choir, participated in several mission trips to Mexico and South America and other activities at the church.
