Alma Martinez O'Neil

A loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Mrs. O’Neil died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. She was 94, a native of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge. Mrs. O’Neil was also a homemaker. Visitation will be at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 5354 Plank Road, Wednesday May 4, 2011, 9:00 a.m. until a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. The Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Sam Maranto. Entombment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Daniel M. O’Neil of Tucson, AZ and Larry O’Neil and wife Grace; two daughters, Kathleen Willoughby and Mary Clary and husband Mic; two grandsons, Aaron Bourg and Colin Clary; two granddaughters, Catherine Willoughby and Danielle Clary; a great grandson, Cade Clary and a great granddaughter, Addison Wolfe all of Baton Rouge, LA. Mrs. O’Neil was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel M. O’Neil; parents, four sisters; a brother and a grandson, Trevor Willoughby. She was a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church. The family would like to thanks Mrs. O’Neil’s neighbors including Carmen and Lionel Brown for their care and assistance.
