Andrea Ogden Bennett

"Andrea Ogden Bennett went to be with her Lord on February 12, 2018, at age 73. She was born Andrea Lee Ogden on December 19, 1944 in Ft Myers, FL, and for the past 31 years lived in Zachary, LA. She was a member and long-time Sunday school teacher at the First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge. She met her then future husband, Barton Bennett, on the front steps of the Highlands, NC Presbyterian Church in 1959 when she was only 14 years old, and her love for him never wavered. They were married 5 years later. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 1966. Everyone who knew her loved her. She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Barton L. Bennett, three fine sons, Keith, Stephen (wife Debbie) and David (wife Mimi), two lovely granddaughters, Heather and Jennifer and three wonderful grandsons, Brady, Andrew and Kyle. She was especially blessed in her last days and weeks by the tireless care of her two precious daughters-in-law, Debbie and Mimi. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Dunham Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 763 North Boulevard, from 8:30 am until services at 10:00 am conducted by Rev. Whitney Alexander. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial gifts may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge.
