
A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away at age 93 on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010. Andrew was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from Steven's Concrete Co. and was vice president of Baton Rouge Ready Mix. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Bueche Stevens; daughter, Janelle Stevens Knight; son, Robert James "Jimbo" Stevens and wife Lois Stevens; stepdaughters, Linda B. Aertker, Rena Braud and husband Austin Dewayne Braud, and Charmion Breaux; sister, Jeanette Stevens Walker; grandchildren, Steven Joseph Campagna and wife Jennifer Campagna, Connie Moritz and husband Stuart Moritz, Sherri Meyers and husband Dr. John Meyers, Ashley Kerr and husband Patrick Kerr; stepgrandchildren, Dr. Robert J. Aertker III, Dorothy Ewen and husband Mitch Ewen, and Brennon Braud. He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise Braud Stevens and Walter Allen Stevens Sr.; four brothers and five sisters. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Aug. 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, on Monday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Martin. Entombment will follow in Greenoaks Mausoleum. Heartfelt thanks to the Baton Rouge General ICU team, Dr. Stephen Brierre, Dr. Roy Cullotta, Dr. Jonathan Taylor and Dr. Hollis O'Neal.
