Andrew "Drew" Laurence Wilbert was born to Laurence and Debora Genn Wilbert in Baton Rougeon July 14, 1985. He died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at his home near LSU. Drew was 21. He was a student at LSU and worked with and was encouraged by Dr. John White in LSU's department of oceanography and coastal sciences. He was also a photographer with LSU's Office of Student Media. Drew was a lover of nature who was most at ease when deep in the woods for primitive camping with his family or on a quiet beach. He was deeply intelligent and enjoyed engaging in discussions on a wide range of subjects. He was a photography hobbyist with a natural ability for capturing beautiful images of his favorite places. He was also a computer enthusiast and enjoyed gaming and interacting with others online. We are thankful for the many people who loved him and supported him throughout his life. We miss him terribly. Drew is survived by his parents, Larry and Dee Dee Wilbert; sisters, Lauren Wilbert of Minneapolis and Leah Wilbert of Baton Rouge; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wilbert Jr. of Plaquemine, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mastroni of Marietta, Ga., and Mr. Clayton Genn of Ardmore, Okla.
