
An artist and homemaker, she was a resident of Baton Rougeand native ofHarlingen, Texas. She was 73. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., was on Tuesday, May 1, from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m.Visiting at St. James Episcopal Church on Wednesday from 11 a.m.until religious service at 1 p.m.She is survived by a daughter, Susan Colvin, Birmingham; two sons, Dan Colvin and wife Linda, Dripping Springs, Texas, and Stephen Colvin and partner Jaime, Birmingham; brother-in-law, Jack Adger, Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren and numerous other beloved relatives, Beau Whatley, Alec Whatley, Rachael Colvin and Rebecca Colvin. Preceded in death by her mother, Alva Daniel Blanchard; and sister, Mae Claire Adger. Pallbearers will be Beau Whatley, David Adger, Michael Prejean, Don Lyle, Ken Jones and Jed Bradley. She attended LSU and was a member of Tri Delta sorority, Baton Rouge Junior League, Art League, Friends of LSU Library, St. James Episcopal Church, BRCC, Baton Rouge International Folk Dancers and KARPATY. Ann Lynn and Chick lived full and gifted lives. Ann Lynn painted, created treasured angels and taught convicts to read. Chick played golf, loved to fly and to talk about flying. Married for 50 years, they loved to travel, play bridge, take Lagniappe courses and spend time together with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Colvin Scholarship for Art. Checks should be made out to the LSU Foundation (memo line Colvin Scholarship for Art), and sent to LSU Foundation, c/o Dean of College of Art&Design, 102 Design Building/LSU, Baton Rouge, LA 70803 or to a literacy charity of your choice.
