"And now I am dwelling in Beulah Land"… Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Anne Loene Benn "Babe" Teed, surrounded by those she loved, went quickly to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at age 92 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was a native of Chicago and a longtime resident of Central. She was born July 14, 1917, to Thomas and Iza Beem. Married to the love of her life, Albert Street Teed, she happily devoted her life to helping others. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church where she was a choir member and treasurer for many years. She was a longtime member of the UMW, Central Backers, Home Demonstration and the Central PTA. She taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school for numerous years and touched the hearts of many with her contagious smile and kind heart. Always with a song on her lips, she was a proud American who always reminded us "Don't forget to wave your flag." She was an avid LSU and Saints fan and could always be found on Saturdays and Sundays rooting her teams to victory. She is survived by daughters, Kim and husband Donald Chapman, and Jo Ann "Cis" and husband Skip Broussard; sons, Tom and wife Sheryle Teed, and Daniel "Danny" Teed; grandchildren, Renee and husband Shawn LeBlanc, Rhonda Chapman, Robin and husband Billy Griffin, Ryan and wife Myra Chapman, Rusty and wife Sebra Chapman, Jenny Teed, and Jason and wife Christen Teed; and great-grandchildren, Jordyn Cowart, Nicholas Brown, Cody, Kyle and Kalyn LeBlanc, Blayne and Bentlie Griffin, Liam Chapman, Kenny Wayne Perkins, Jacob and Amber Chapman and Jacob Teed. And so it ends with dancing on streets of gold.
