Annie-Claire Mote, a remarkable woman whose life was filled with love, passion, and dedication, passed away on October 4, 2024. Born on February 22, 1931, in Winter Park, Florida, Annie-Claire lived a life enriched by her accomplishments and relationships. She was a proud graduate of Florida State University and had an illustrious career as an executive in a regional advertising firm. Her leadership was further recognized when she became the first female governor of the American Advertising Federation's Southern District, truly making her one of the original "Mad Men"—a trailblazer in the advertising world long before it became the iconic industry we think of today. Beyond her professional achievements, Annie-Claire was known for her love of tennis, yoga, Tai Chi, and her dedication to her church. She found immense joy in the friendships she made on the tennis court and cherished her time with her tennis friends. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she actively participated in her church community. As a loving grandmother, Annie-Claire's warmth and kindness were felt deeply by her family. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved, always putting others before herself. One of the fondest memories of Annie-Claire is the time she spent sharing stories of her own childhood and dreams. She had an infectious laugh and a boundless kindness that touched everyone she met. Annie-Claire's legacy is not just in the career she built or the accolades she earned, but in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the lessons she imparted. She taught us to cherish each moment, to love deeply, and to always strive for excellence. Annie-Claire is survived by her son William Mote Jr., and daughter-in-law Misty F. Mote of California, and her grandson, William Eugene Mote, III, of New York. Her spirit will live on in each of us, in every act of kindness we perform and in every goal we strive to achieve. Let us celebrate her life by continuing to live by her example. Thank you, Annie-Claire, for being a beacon of light in our lives. We love you, and you will always be in our hearts. A visitation for Annie-Clair will be held Tuesday October 8, 2024 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East(11000 Florida Blvd.) from 9am until Funeral Service at 11am. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
