A retired electrician and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at his son's home in Baton Rouge. He was 92, a native of Bryant, Texas, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Sept. 26, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes on Saturday from 9 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Moroney. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by a daughter, Rose Marie "Noonie" Marino; son, Breazeale J. "B.J." Marino; sister, Annie Day; grandchildren, Rayette Blanchard, Tony Cotton, Tracey Ferrington, James Woods, Dana Carpenter, Timothy Marino, Jacqueline Wyble, RoyAnne O'Bannion and Troy Lewis; and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Hilda E. Marino; and daughters, Frances Louise Norman and Dorothy Gail Cotton. Special thanks to Hospice Associates and nurse Sonja Comeaux. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 65 years, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for many years and American Legion Nicholson Post 38.
