April Lynn Mancuso McDonald passed away at the age of 42 in Tickfaw, LA. Born on May 1, 1982, in Baton Rouge, LA, to parents Susan and Jeff. April was a kindhearted mother, wife, and daughter. She was loved dearly by her family and friends. In her youth, April played softball and loved her pets. She studied at Baton Rouge Magnet High School and later graduated from Southeastern University in Hammond. It was in Hammond that she met her husband Scott, both working at Don’s Seafood. As an adult, April enjoyed playing hide and seek with her son Ben, and she loved to snuggle with him. April was preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey Mancuso; grandmother, Barbara Harris; grandmother, Eunice Mancuso; and grandfather, James (Howard) Mancuso. She is survived by her husband, Scott McDonald, and her son, Benjamin Scott McDonald; mother, Susan Montgomery; brother, Chandler Montgomery; and stepmother, Roxanne Denson. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 10:30 am until funeral service at 12:30 pm.
