Audrey Lee Gautreau Comeaux

"Audrey Lee Gautreau Comeaux, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, age 89, passed away peacefully at the Carpenter House January 21, 2018. She was born July 31, 1928, in Sorrento and was a longtime resident of Carville and Dutchtown, La. She recently resided at Lake Sherwood Village in Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Comeaux; parents Julius and Lillie Gautreau and son-in-law Lester Dodge. She is survived by her four children, Doyle (Maynell), Marcia Barr (Cameron), Gwendolyn Dodge, and Durelle (Karen); 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and St. Gabriel Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed visiting with family, traveling, watching sporting events, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing cards. Visitation at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3625 Hwy. 75, St. Gabriel, Friday, January 26, 2018, from 10AM until noon, funeral Mass to follow at 12PM and burial at Prairieville Cemetery.
