Barbara Jesclard Disedare asked Jesus to forgive her of her sins, and come into her heart in 1984. She loved Him and served Him and at age 63 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of the city of Central for 34 years. Mrs. Disedare is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Clyde S. Disedare Sr.; three children and their spouses, Tonya Disedare Ayers and Thomas C. Ayers Jr., Todd S. Disedare and Roxanne D. Disedare, and Clyde S. Disedare Jr.; daughter-in-law, Laura M. Disedare; and seven grandchildren, Samuel and Stephen Ayers, Chanse, Travis, and Daniel Disedare, and Victoria and Matthew Disedare; and sisters and brother, Dianne Jesclard, Pat Simmons, Charles Jesclard and Annette Bonaventure. Preceded in death by her parents, Verna I. Henry Jesclard and Charles V. Jesclard Sr.; and sister, Carolyn Ann Jesclard. Mrs. Disedare was a former member of the Auxiliary Disabled American Veterans Association. She retired from LSU with 33 years of service. While working, she graduated with honors from LSU with a bachelor's degree. After retiring, she was an active and beloved substitute teacher at Central High School, which she enjoyed so very much. She looked forward to being with the students and all of the friends she made throughout the faculty. Mrs. Disedare was a PTO member of CHS and volunteered wherever she was needed for the school. She enjoyed all seven of her grandchildren, and was proud of each one. We do not know the why of her getting ovarian cancer, but her family knows she is with Jesus and we will miss her very much remembering her favorite Scripture: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Sept. 7, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Wednesday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Larry Simmons, Larry Simmons Jr., Brad Cockerham, Trey Jesclard, Rusty Jesclard and Charles Disedard.
