"and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." John 10:28. A much loved wife and mother, she was called home Saturday, March 1, 2008. She left behind her husband, David, and six children, Kim, Tammy, Jeannie, Elaine, Bubba and Joe, who loved her very much. She was also loved by her 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Patsy; and brother, Carl. She spoke often of her Lord and savior, leaving no doubt she was ready at all times to meet Him when He called, which He did, Saturday. She also loved the Jewish people and was always eager to talk about "her Jews." She was a wonderful homemaker and spent the greater part of each day working in her yard, raking leaves, making flower beds and the like. She could not resist a good garage sale; the back of her old blue truck was often filled with boxes of garage sale goodies. At one time, she had a shop called "Barnyard Treasures." She loved to give garage sales as much as she loved to go to them. She had two dogs, Tassie and Rosie whom she loved very much but Rosie was her favorite, she never kept that a secret. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband, David Haley; six children, Kim Williamson and husband Charles, Tammy Haffner and husband Dennis, Jeannie Valin and husband Steve, Elaine Landry and husband Steve, David Haley Jr. and wife Mandy, and Joseph Haley and wife Emily; 11 grandchildren, Beth Williamson, Charlotte Blair, Roxy LeBlanc, Dustin and Derek Haffner, Noah and Joshua Valin, Stevie and Roxanne Landry and Taylor and Madelynn Haley; three great-grandchildren, Amy and Lizzy Blair and Adam LeBlanc; and a great-granddaughter on the way, Leyla Lee. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, March 4, from 10 a.m. until service at 12:30 p.m., conducted the Rev. Paul Brill. Burial in Port Hudson National Cemetery.
