

Bernard Luke Campo Jr., a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, born February 8, 1923 in Paincourtville, LA passed away on January 8, 2017. He was a World War II veteran who served with the US Coast Guard in the South Pacific from 1942-1946. He worked for Gulf States Utilities from 1946 until his retirement in 1986. He was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be held on January 13, 2015 beginning at 10am until funeral service at noon at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.
He is survived by sons Bernard Luke Campo III and wife Virginia; Robert Michael Campo and wife Claire; and David Wayne Campo and wife Donna. He is also survived by grandchildren Katrina Campo Brown, Geoffrey Campo, Christopher Campo, McKenzie Campo, and Brandon Barrilleaux, as well as fifteen great grandchildren and his best friend and brother in law Gerard L. Jorda.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Simoneaux Campo.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge for the outstanding care that they provided during his stay. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made on his behalf to St. Joseph Hospice Foundation, 10615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge LA 70809.
