Betty Jo Glass Bourque

June 22, 1936 - June 6, 2013 Of Central, LA passed away Thursday, June 6th at The Carpenter House surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long battle with cancer at the age of 76. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from the hours of 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 10am until the funeral service at 12pm celebrated by the Rev. Leslie Stephens with the graveside service following in Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker, LA. Betty Jo was born in Longleaf, LA on June 22, 1936 to Ted and Eurna Glass and was married to her husband Milton Bourque on July 24, 1953. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband Milton of nearly 60 years; five children and their spouses, Milton and Ione; Michael Wayne and Cindy; Terry and Carmen; Shavonne and Thomas Sr.; Dennis and Paula; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and one sister Wanda and husband Jimmy Garrett. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eurna and Ted Glass. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Macy and Jasen Bourque, Dustin and Thomas Martin Jr., CJ Bizette and Josh Galasso. Honorary pallbearers will be Micheal, Jeremy and Brad Bourque.
