Betty Jean Lambert

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, educator and friend to many, she passed away in Baton Rouge on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at age 70. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Russell W. "Wick" Lambert Jr., whom she married in her hometown of Louisville, Ky. She was the daughter of William Bevars and Laura Lee Choate Bevars of Louisville. She is also survived by her two beloved children, Jill Lena Lambert, and Russell W. "Rusty" Lambert III and his spouse, Cathrine Beveridge Lambert; her loved and honored grandchildren, Jean Marie Lambert and Emma Catherine Lambert; her beloved sister and three brothers, Sharon Lee Taylor, James William Bevars and spouse Cathy, Phillip Leon Bevars and spouse Lisa Louise, and Robert Joseph Bevars and spouse Brenda; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in Bonneville, Ky. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Laura Lee Bevars; and her beloved sisters, Norma Joe Day and Virginia Rose James. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, Oct. 20, from noon until 5 p.m. Visitation resumes in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. C. Milford Walters. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. I would like to thank you for being a great wife, a wonderful mother and my best friend.
