Betty Neldare Reaux, passed Monday, September 2, 2013. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the daughter of Thelma and Arthur Neldare. She was a graduate of Scotlandville High School and Southern University. She was a retired educator in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Willie; three children, Tramelle "Trell" Neldare (Tracey), April Reaux, Angela "Ann" Akinniyi Fawehinmi (Muyiwa); five grandchildren, Jordan and Hayley Neldare, Fadesola, Adenike and Adebola Akinniyi Fawehinmi; brother, Melvin Stringer (Delores); two sisters, Audra Neldare and Adrian Mayes (Walter); two brothers-in-law, Joe Williams and Clyde Reaux (Charlotte), sister-in-law Susie Williams and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Arthur Neldare, parents-in-law Willie and Evelyn Reaux; a sister, Marilyn Williams. Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. until funeral Mass at 12 noon, with the Rev. Miles Walsh presiding. Burial to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
