Bettye Callicott Desjardins

Bettye Callicott Desjardins, a retired nurse and long-standing resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died peacefully January 26, 2026, at the age of 93. Bettye is survived by her daughters, Karen Desjardins Roosenberg (Tim Roosenberg) and Jennine Desjardins Scott (Stuart Scott); daughter-in-law, Dawn Best Desjardins; grandchildren, Monica Desjardins (Thom Lerch), Heidi Roosenberg DePaula (Jonathan DePaula), Calli East (Taylor Leonard), Vasili Baltas, Michael Roosenberg (Victoria Cayemitte Roosenberg), and Caleb Roosenberg; great-grandchildren, Ellia Engel, Joshua DePaula, Havilah DePaula, Hazel DePaula, Hosanna DePaula, and Aiden Blayne Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Desjardins, her son Raymond "Raymie" Desjardins II, her grand daughters Jennifer Roosenberg and Karrah East, her brother Rex P. Callicott, and her parents Rex E. Callicott and Maudine Curtis Callicott.

Bettye was a graceful, joyful and passionate woman. She lived a blessed life full of travel and adventure, as well as filled with love. Bettye was a dedicated Christian and loving servant of God. She brought care and warmth to all who encountered her. Bettye will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Services to be held at Greenoaks Funeral home 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, La. on Monday February 2, 2026. Visitation 11:00am with services beginning at 1:00pm; graveside service to immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
