Bobie Joe Hall McAllen

Bobie Joe Hall McAllen, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 95. Bobie was born on May 2, 1929 in Omaha, Texas, to her parents Joseph Claud Hall and Mattie Louella Martin Hall. Bobie was a faithful servant of our Lord and was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church. Bobie most enjoyed being with family and friends, she loved to travel, she loved hosting family gatherings and entertaining, she loved roses, she loved her pets, she loved to read and play card games, especially Bridge. Bobie spent over 20 years tracing the genealogy of her family and wrote a book to share with all she loved. What a reunion in Heaven there must be as she is reunited with those who predeceased her including her parents; her beloved husband, Oliver Lloyd McAllen; her daughters, Donna Gay McKey and Deanna Kay Robertson; her sisters, Maydell Talley, Dorothy Elizabeth Tribble, and Patricia Ann DeLoach; and her great granddaughter, Brooke Lyn Peterson. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Lloyd McAllen and Randall Keith McAllen (Tina); her son-in-law, Doug Robertson; a nephew, James Reggie Talley; her grandchildren, Jason Lemoine (Billie), Robbie McKey (Cinnamon), Christina Peterson (Chet), Hunter McAllen (Casey), Amanda McAllen, Katie Lofton (Chad), Dylan McAllen and Kaylen McAllen; her great grandchildren, Jade Sulik (Brandon), Brandon Lemoine (Marissa), Maci McKey, Abby McKey, Laine Peterson, Blaire Peterson, Collin Peterson, Cain McAllen, Haze McAllen (Kat) and Allen Young; step-great grandchildren, Ian Rodehorst, Ella Rodehorst, Abbi Rodehorst; great-great grandchildren, Lila Kay Lemoine and Kai McAllen. Bobie’s wishes were for a small family memorial in the mausoleum where she will be laid to rest at Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Friday, September 13th, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. Lord, we thank you for Bobie’s life, we thank you for the eternal rest in Christ she now enjoys, we thank you for giving her to us and we thank you for the glory we shall share together. God is good.
