
"Greg Morgan, a long time resident of Baton Rouge, passed away due to complications of the LA flood, on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at the age of 63. He was born in Borgor, TX, January 22, 1953, to parents Suzanne N. Morgan and James A. Morgan. He attended Tara High School and LSU. Greg was predeceased by parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Morgan of Naples, FL., wife Dawn Bruser Morgan, brother-in-law Sung Lee, of Oviedo, FL, and in-laws, Carl and Flo Bruser, of Baton Rouge. He is survived by the light of his life, daughter Catherine Marie Morgan, her significant other Trevor Juchemich, sisters Melanie-Grace M. Lee, of Oviedo, FL, Melissa Marie M. Stocker of Buochs, Switzerland, and Stephanie M. Woodward, of Keeler, TX, sisters-in-law Debra Bruser of Baton Rouge and Diane Bruser of Jackson, MS., Greg's significant other, Dee Achord, and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends. Greg was a kind and loving son, husband, father, brother, friend and truly enjoyed life. He was a voracious reader, lover of music, movies and stray cats, a true pundit, painter, and quite knowledgeable of history, all of which he imbued in his daughter Catherine Marie. Greg loved sports, particularly LSU football, and the N.O. Saints. The family would especially like to thank friends Keith, Jeff and Josh, and a true angel, Zach, with a boat, who braved the flood waters to rescue Greg and Dee, and to Dee's son, Blake, who discovered they were trapped, and to Bryan and Marsha who got them to a safe place. Rabenhorst Funeral Home, Government Street, is handling his wishes to be cremated. Services will be at the funeral home, Wednesday, August 31, 2016, visitation is from 12;00 to 2:00, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that you donate to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice , particularly those assisting all displaced victims of the LA flooding.
