

Bryan P. Phenix, Sr., a retired Baton Rouge Firefighter, was a resident of Belle River (formally from Watson). He passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 65. He was a firefighter, coach, carpenter, neighborhood handyman, adopted Cajun, but mostly known for his HUGS, willingness to help others, and how everyone he met became his "family". Survived by his wife of 41 years, Geanette Landry Phenix; daughter, Leah Phenix; son, Bryan Phenix Jr. and fiancé, Cheree Burkett; grandsons, Phenix Rains and Baryn Phenix; sister-in-law, Annette Landry Chustz; brother, David Keith Phenix; sister, Diane and brother-in-law Denis Bertrand; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, David and Beverly Phenix . Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, on Friday, September 10 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm with memorial service at 7 pm.
