Carla Spradley

Carla Jean Spradley, a beautiful and beloved woman, went home to her Savior on July 18, 2025. She was 56 years old. She devoted her time to family and friends and was a light to all she encountered. Her beautiful smile and sweet laugh made everything perfect. She will be missed tremendously. Carla enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, going out with friends, working out at the gym, politics, and learning new things. She dearly loved her two dogs, Tubigirl and Filé.

She worked with her husband at Mike’s Tree Service as an Office Manager for most of her working life. She was also a real estate agent, an ER receptionist, and held various office manager positions in the private sector.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael C. Englerth, step-daughter Victoria Grace Heck (husband and children), step-grandchildren Jaden and Taylor Englerth, sisters Darla Spradley, Christina Church, Michelle Spradley, and Lisa Smith (Robert), mother-in-law H. Virginia Englerth, sister-in-law Sharon Englerth, brothers-in-law Stephen T. Englerth and David S. Englerth, nieces Amber Spradley and Lainey Smith, nephews William Church and Clinton Smith, great nieces Shelea Spradley and Reilea Bailey, great nephews Tylas and Taylor Bailey, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her step-daughter Margaret Nicole Englerth, parents Carl Clinton Spradley, Jr. and Shelba J. Church, step-father Billy Church, paternal grandparents Carl Clinton Sr. and Nellie Mae Spradley, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Holifield, and father-in-law Richard A. Englerth, DDS.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society of Baton Rouge.

A private memorial service will be held for her closest family and friends at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
