Carolyn Cox Elliott passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the age of 77. She was a retired school bus driver. Carolyn is survived by grandsons, Michael Elliott and his wife, Megan, and Colton Elliott; daughter-in-law, Sterrie Elliott; great-grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, Savannah, and Aiden; niece, Darlene Sides; brother, Sherwood W. Cox and his wife, Rosie; numerous nieces and cousins; and Jean Parker, whose 57 year friendship with Carolyn can only be described with this quote, “Although we were not sisters from birth, we were sisters at heart.” She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Elliott; 2 sons, Stephen Elliott and Michael Elliott; and her parents, Shelton and Sydney Cox. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday December, 17, 2016 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow on the grounds of Resthaven Gardens of Memories.
