Carolyn O. Morris passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on December 19, 1931, in Owenton, Kentucky to the late Benjamin Sleet and Jessie Barr Shields. She lovingly cared for many children in her home for over 20 years. In her younger days, she enjoyed archery, bowling and gardening.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Matthew Morris; grandchildren, Max, Connor, and Ryan Morris; one brother, Louis Shields; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Morris; parents; and her brother, Buell Shields.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA, 70815, from 12 pm until 1:45 pm with a short procession from the funeral home to her final resting place in Greenoaks Memorial Park, for a graveside service beginning at 2 pm.
