
A native of Summit, Miss., she died Sunday morning, July 22, 2012, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 85. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, July 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Thursday, July 26, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, John David "Jack" Mueller; daughters, Virginia Ann "Ginny" Mueller Traylor, Baton Rouge, and Lisa Emilia Mueller Alfonso, Apex, N.C.; sister, Martha Miller Nims, Humboldt, Neb.; sisterin- law, Shirley Lewis Miller, Longview, Texas; brother-inlaw, George Edwin Mueller (Darla), Kirkland, Washington; grandchildren, Laura Traylor Botos (Paul), Primghar, Iowa, Jillian Carol Traylor, Baton Rouge, Rebekah Joan Alfonso, Mason Aaron Alfonso and Ethan Brady Alfonso, Apex, N.C., and Ian Hayes, Birdlip, U.K.; great-grandchildren, Christian Anthony Botos and Lily Jane Botos, Primghar, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Hillman Miller and LouElla Gordon Miller, Baton Rouge; brother, Walter Hillman Miller Jr.; and daughters, Joan Leigh Mueller and Cynthia Jane Mueller Hayes. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Clark, Jeffrey Clark, Jr., Chris Clark, Roger Wirth, Ken Mizell, Steve Phillips and Richard Wuensch. The family would like to extend thanks to her caregivers of six years for their loving care: Ada Dotson, Marie Mason, Jackie White, and Yvonne Veal. She was a graduate of LSU and a member of Broadmoor Presbytarian Church where she belonged to the Women's Circle Number One.
