
Catherine D. LeBlanc, a native of Donaldsonville and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was a retired stenographer and unselfish wife and mother. If she knew you, she loved you and wanted to help you. She was a longtime faithful member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She loved family and enjoyed children of all ages. Preceded in death by her daughter, Diane LeBlanc; father and mother, Henry M. and Marie C. Dugas; brother, Roland and wife Francis Dugas; sister, Margaret and husband J.B. Burns; brother, Hubert and wife Bea; sister, Emily and husband Joseph Romeo; and brothers, Collin Dugas and Perry Dugas. Survived by her husband of 56 years, William J. LeBlanc; daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and Mark Monistere; grandsons, Jacob and Alex Monistere; three sisters and a brother, May and husband Percy Daigle, Marie Louise and husband Fred Dupre, the Rev. Jerome Dugas, and Mildred and husband Albert Ellis; and two sisters-in-law, Angie Dugas and Iris Roy. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
