
A retired East Baton Rouge Parish school bus driver, she died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center surrounded by family members. She was 83 and a native and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes Tuesday, Jan. 3, at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., concelebrated by the Rev. Tom Ranzino, the Rev. Donald Blanchard and the Rev. Michael Galea. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. A reception in the church hall will follow the burial service. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy W. Morrison and Sharon W. Richardson; a son, Keith Watkins and wife Brenda; four grandchildren, Farrah Moore, Josh Hall, Marisa Smith and Rachael Graeser; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack H. Watkins; a brother, Maurice DeArmond; and a son-in-law, Brady Richardson. She was a founding member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church and the St. Jean Court of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
