

A resident of Baton Rougesince 1955, she died at 3 p.m.Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor, with her family at her side. She was 86, a retired employee of DEMCO and a native of Delcambre. Visiting at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jack Nutter, celebrant. Visitation at Evangeline Funeral Home, Delcambre, from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m.Friday. Entombment in Our Lady of theLakeCatholic ChurchMausoleum, Delcambre, at 1:30 p.m.Friday. She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn B. Blank and husband Charlie of Irving, Texas; daughter Carol B. Pilcher and husband Jerry of Lakeland, Fla.; son James A. Broussard and wife Pauline of Prairieville; and daughter Charlotte B. Schittone and husband John Jr. of Baton Rouge. Her grandchildren are Terri Buckley, Chuck Blank and wife Toni, Lisa Knight and husband Kyle, Angela Parham and husband Warren, Donna Padgett, Susan Fortner and husband Trevor, Dave Story and wife Melody, Kelly Adams and husband Ray, Melissa Lightfoot and husband Allen, Jim Broussard, Ron Vannoy and wife Michelle, John Schittone III, and Matthew Schittone and wife Amanda. Her great-grandchildren are Lauren, Sarah and Reid Buckley, Marcella Blank, Haley and Emma Knight, Kacie and Austin Padgett, Ivey and Maddie Fortner, Olivia and Lillie Grace Story, Jace Adams, Danielle and Shane Lightfoot, Ali Broussard, Tanner Vannoy, and Melanie and Brandon Schittone. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Louisiana State Police Lt. Ivy A. Broussard; son, Larry J. Broussard; parents, John and Elmira Falgout; and brother, Joseph Falgout. Pallbearers will be Chuck Blank, Kyle Knight, Warren Parham, Dave Story, Jim Broussard, Ron Vannoy, John Schittone III, Matthew Schittone and Terry Broussard. She was a member of St. Louis King ofFranceChurchand the Ladies Altar Society. The family wants to especially thank the nurses and staff of Ollie Steele Burden Manor and the nurses with Hospice of Baton Rouge, especially Cynthia Holmes, for their loving care and compassion during this past year.
