
Brecheen, Charles Lathan "Charlie"Charles Lathan Brecheen, 89, of Victor, Id. and formerly Baton Rouge, La. died of natural causes June 24, 2015 at La Maison in Denham Springs, La. with his son Roger at his bedside. Charlie was born June 4, 1926 at the family home in Pine Grove, La. one of eleven. He grew up with his brothers and sisters, dedicated to their family survival in very challenging times. He married Eva "Pat" Estelle Evans on June 11, 1949 in Port Allen, La. His life's work spanned through many decades of serving in the US Navy in WWII, as a stalwart employee of DSM Copolymer Corporation, retiring as a plant supervisor, serving and enjoying as a Good Sam member. More importantly, Charlie emulated his dedication to his family and his faith as his most important responsibility and accomplishment. Charlie was a deacon at Brookstown Baptist Church and member at Victory Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. Fred Dyess. Charlie and Pat moved to the Wyoming-Idaho area in June 2002, where he lived near Roger and his family, until November, 2014 returning to his beloved Louisiana home. He is survived by his son, Dr. Roger M Brecheen and his wife, Kathy Watkins Brecheen; his namesake two grandsons, Eric Lathan and Charles Luke Brecheen; and his siblings, Ruby Thornton, Clovis Brecheen, Jesse D Thompson and Helen May. He is predeceased by his wife, Eva "Pat" Estelle Brecheen; his son, Paul Randy Brecheen; his parents, Carey Milton Brecheen and Sarah Louisa (Sally) Spillman; his siblings, Milton Brecheen, Leon Brecheen, Myrtle Lee Brecheen, Eunice Allen, Lovie Noble and Marie Wilson. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday July 7, 2015 from 9am until religious services at 11am conducted by Rev Fred Dyess. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
