

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Stroughter.
He is survived by his mother, Linda V. Chidester; three children, Meagan, Addison and Grayson Stroughter; two brothers, Mark and Michael Stroughter; three sisters, Rhonda S. Gaunt (Paul), Cheryl S. Denby (Rubin) and Mimi Stroughter (John); three nieces, Amanda S. McCann (Bobby), Lauren G. Taylor (Michael) and Ashley Pitre; two nephews, Jeffrey Gaunt (Shelbi) and Cameron Whaley; two great nephews, Kasen McCann and Beau Gaunt; one great niece, Madelyn McCann and his fiancé, Monica Gautreau.
Family and friends meant the world to Andy. He was a fun loving person, who was the life of the party, enjoyed singing karaoke and never met a stranger; he was a friend to all.
Andy was an employee of Turner Industries. He enjoyed dirt track and asphalt racing for 20 years and was the winner of many races. He also enjoyed water sports, boating and everything fast.
Pallbearers will be: Shawn and Shane Parker, Scott Hill, Bobby McCann, Jeffrey Gaunt and Cameron Whaley. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jordan Devore, Grayson Stroughter and Kasen McCann.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Greenoaks Funeral Home-9595 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Visitation will continue from 9:00am to 10:30am with services immediately following.
The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in the ICU Covid Unit for the care they provided to Andy.
The family would like to encourage everyone to wear masks and social distance while attending the visitation and service for Andy.
