Charlotte was born on June 16, 1985 in Baton Rouge, where she lived her entire, but brief, life. She is survived by her children, Kaedin Hamner, Hayes Font, and Blakeleigh Font, her mother and stepfather Karen and John Eldridge, sister and brother-in-law Lauren and Payton Spreen, nephew Henry Spreen, grandmothers Beverly Freneaux and Jeannette Eldridge, father and stepmother Charles and Brenda Hamner, step-siblings Krista Dubroc, Bradley Furnish, and half-brother Charlie Hamner, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Charlotte is preceded in death by her grandparents Warren Ramirez, Glen and Annabelle Hamner, and Robert Eldridge.
From an early age, Charlotte was an adventurous and free-spirited soul. She had a zest for life and experiencing all it had to offer. She carved her own path and carried with her an engaging sense of humor even while struggling with her demons.
Charlotte dearly loved her babies and the happiest times of her life were spent with them. A compassionate friend, she had a big heart and cared deeply for others. She always helped those in need, whether it be a kind word or a shoulder to cry on. She would give the clothes she was wearing to help even a stranger. She was passionate about animals, especially her many cats and dogs she took in throughout her life, and was a self-taught backyard horticulturist who livened up her home with colorful plants.
Charlotte is now at peace. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, and the memory of her life will never be forgotten.
We want to thank the intensive care unit medical staff at Ochsner Medical Center for the kind and compassionate care they gave Charlotte.
