Cherlyn Farmer Allen Kelley age 77 of Baker, Louisiana died on August 18, 2024. Cherlyn was a member of Local Union 198 for over 47 years and a business owner. Cherlyn was an avid gardener and always loved being outdoors - She would always say, “There’s no place I’d rather be then digging in the dirt.” Cherlyn was a kindhearted and free-spirited woman with a very strong will. She enjoyed going out to eat with friends and family and making occasional trips to the casino. She enjoyed Springtime and Christmastime the most out of each of her 77 years.
Cherlyn is preceded in death by her parents, James Melvin Farmer and Dorothy Farmer McLain, a younger sister, Susan Pearce; her first husband Joseph Lee Allen Jr. and by her second husband, J.C. Kelley Sr.
She is survived by her younger sisters, Linda Sterling and Lisa Leake; children: Joseph Lee Allen III, David Spencer Allen, LeAnn Allen Davis (Reggie), and J.C. Kelley Jr. (Stacy); granddaughters: Tori Allen LeCoq, Zoe Allen, Violette Allen, Adaleana Allen and Lucille Davis; great grandsons: Riff LeCoq and August Allen Norwood.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held at St. John United Methodist Church, 230 Renee Dr., Baton Rouge LA. 70810, on Saturday, September 14, at 11:30 am.
