Cheryl Ann Watson

A native of Baton Rouge, La., and resident of Watson, La., Cheryl Ann Medeci Watson passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the age of 49. She was a loving daughter to Johnny L. and Mary Louise Medeci, wife of 29 years to Jerry Michael Watson, Mom to daughter, Morgan Lynne, sister to Mary Johnette Medeci Sanders and Debra Medeci Yokoyama and, the role she loved most, "Mi Mi" to grandchildren, Madison Scott and Kaleigh Madera. Cheryl was a gregarious person who easily made friends with whomever she met. She loved socializing and "having a good time." Before retiring due to illness, she was employed at Baton Rouge State Police Headquarters for 10 years. Special thanks are due to her dear friend of 19 years, Kim Madera, and her husband, Mike, for being there for Cheryl and her family whenever needed. Visitation will be on Friday, July 6, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1141 Goodwood Blvd., from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Cheryl was preceded in death by her twin sister, Sheila Marie Medeci. Although always remembered and greatly missed, Cheryl is now resting peacefully and no longer in pain.
