
A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at his lake home in East Feliciana Parish. He is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Taylor; sons, Marc Taylor, Baton Rouge, and Jeffrey M. Reilly, New Mexico; daughters, Lauren Taylor Bednarz, Dallas, and Susan Taylor McDaniel, Houston; brothers, J. Webb Taylor and Jim Taylor, Baton Rouge; and grandchildren, Catherine, Marc, Audrey, Sterling and Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark William Taylor and Alice Brown Taylor. He will be sincerely missed by family and friends, especially devoted friends, Debbie and James DeJean, and Julius Furr. Clark was a proud graduate of Baton Rouge High School and LSU Paul M. Hebert School of Law. He was the owner of CWT Management involved in real estate development and investments. Clark was a pioneer in the development of Village Woods Retirement Community, Summa Court and Bluebonnet Highlands Subdivision. Clark was a member of SCORE Baton Rouge, a nonprofit association providing business counseling to small businesses as well as a volunteer for the Baton Rouge Literacy Association. Clark was an avid fisherman and hunter. He traveled throughout the U.S., including Alaska, and Mexico, to fish and hunt. He especially enjoyed his time at his lake house with close friends playing cards, eating and fishing. Clark lived life to the fullest. Fishing was one of the greatest joys of his life. The family would like to thank all of the rescue crews for their quick response and thoughtfulness. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America Istrouma Area Council, Salvation Army or Hospice of Baton Rouge, charities that Mr. Taylor supported. >
