Claude Janine Hagemann, 89, passed away in Baton Rouge on April 14, 2012. Born in Paris, France, on January 23, 1923, she met and married Richard F. Hagemann, who was stationed in Paris with the U.S. Army during World War II. They married on her birthday in 1947, and she became a U.S. citizen in 1952. She traveled extensively with her husband who was employed in the petroleum industry. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, Marie Therese Jacquot and Michel Paul Nicolas Jacquot, sister, Monique Jacquot de Francqueville, and brother, Nicolas Jacquot. Survived by her sons, William F. Hagemann, M.D., and wife Mary Rose, of Baton Rouge, Robert P. Hagemann and wife Stefanie, of Arlington, Va., and Richard L. Hagemann and wife Geralyn, of Short Hill, N.J.; daughter, Elisabeth Zimmerman and husband Keith, of Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Michelle Lofland and husband Jason, Kristin Cammarata and husband Michael, Ryan Hagemann and wife Linden Marie, Colleen Hagemann, M.D., Ian S. Hagemann, M.D., and wife Andrea R. Hagemann, M.D., Eric M. Hagemann and wife Lori Lorenzo, Richard B. Hagemann, Eugenie Hagemann, Eilsabeth Hagemann, Nicolas F. Zimmerman, Kristopher D. Zimmerman, Gregory W. Zimmerman and wife Avery MacKenzie, Julia Z. Sharpe and husband Nathaniel Z. Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Jackson Lofland, Claire Lofland, Emma Lofland, Sophie Hagemann, Oliver Hagemann, Caroline Cammarata and Mary Linden Hagemann. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 18, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Mike Collins, celebrant. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St.
