

Corean Lasiter, a longtime resident of St. James Place died peacefully at the age of 93 on Monday, April 4, 2016. Services are entrusted to Greenoaks Funeral Home at 9595 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge with visitation on Wednesday, April 5, 2016, from 12 PM until 2 PM and a Celebration of Life at 2 PM. The Reverend Todd Vickery will officiate. Born on April 1, 1923, Mrs. Lasiter began piano lessons at a very young age, soon playing the piano in church, which continued throughout her life. She also taught piano lessons for many years and accompanied school functions. She taught school and in later years, she studied the bible extensively. A native of Kim, Colorado, Corean was raised in Oklahoma, and lived much of her adult life in Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Wanda; parents Ella Raven Bailey and William Bailey; her husband, Doyle Lasiter; and son, Larry Lasiter. Survivors include daughters Joyce Thibodeaux and husband Louis, and Doylene Poimboeuf and husband Brian; four grandchildren, Scott Thibodeaux and wife Carla, Michele McLindon and husband John, Jordan Poimboeuf and wife Steph, and Virginia Poimboeuf; great grandchildren, Phoebe Christ and husband Johnny, Natalie McElligott and husband Pete, Whitney Klemann and husband Derrick, Bonnie McLindon, Camille McLindon, Miles McLindon, Britt McLindon, and Kai Poimboeuf; and great great grandchildren, John Nathan, Lottie, and Jason Christ. Service readers will be Miles McLindon and Britt McLindon. Scott Thibodeaux and Bonnie McLindon will present family eulogies. Virginia Poimboeuf will sing. Pall bearers include John, Miles, and Britt McLindon, Jordan Poimboeuf, Johnny Christ, and Peter McElligott.
