
Dale Gordon Williams, 64, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Hemphill, Texas. He was born and raised in Baton Rouge, the second son of Wilbur Clay Williams, Sr. and Vera Inez Richmond Williams, who preceded him in death. He attended Broadmoor High School and LSU, graduating with a B.S. in chemical engineering in 1973. Upon graduation, he started a long and successful career at ExxonMobil. He achieved department head at a young age. His leadership and people skills were instrumental in the success of several ExxonMobil projects worldwide, including Rotterdam, Singapore, Baytown, and Beaumont, along with many at the Baton Rouge Complex. Besides his family, his loves included fishing at Toledo Bend, woodworking, wine, and socializing with his many friends. He leaves behind his wife, Kimmel; daughter Cary Skaggs, her husband Joe and their two children Lilah and Taylor, sons Blake Williams and Ryan Williams and his wife Shelle; sisters Kitty Peacock and her husband Randy, and Marilee Rheams and friend, Ned Garland; brothers Clay Williams and his wife Pam, and Wayne Williams; brothers-in-law Tommy Hutchinson and Chuck Hutchinson and his wife Tracy; and parents-in-law Charles and Edith Hutchinson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015 and 9am to noon on Monday, December 14, with service at noon at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Florida Blvd. Interment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
