Debra Jackson

Debra Claire Jackson, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on July 25, 2021 at the age of 68. Debra was a fun loving person, and a caregiver, taking care of family members ever since she was a child. She was cheerful and would bring good morning greetings and treats to the staff and residents at the nursing home where she was recently a caregiver. She worked for the city of Baton Rouge in Emergency Management for a number of years and for engineering firms in the city as an administrative assistant. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She is survived by her siblings, Judy Johnson, Robert Jackson, Buddy Jackson; nieces and nephews, Chad Ardoin, Robin Ardoin Bundick and husband Gabe, Kelly Ardoin Goldstein and husband Bryan, Randy Jackson, Courtney Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Michael Jackson and wife Patty, Berk Jackson and wife; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, E. Leon Jackson, Jr. and Pauline Rodriguez; siblings, Rick Jackson and John Jackson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
