Dianne Noble Berthelot was born on May 31, 1942, and peacefully passed away on April 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wilfred and Jennie Marabella Noble, as well as her dear husband, Wayne Edward Berthelot, who was the love of her life. She will be deeply missed and always remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dianne was grateful for her Catholic faith, which was strengthened by her relationship with Fr. Eric Gyan, who also gifted her a Rosary from the Holy Land. Fr. Eric visited her in the ICU, where he anointed her with the Sacrament of the Sick and the Apostolic Pardon. He will conduct her service at 2 pm. She received loving support from the faith-filled laity of St. Jean Vianney, who brought Holy Communion to her every Friday. On special days, they brought her get-well cards and gifts from the children of St. Jean Vianney School, which she cherished.
Dianne graduated from Istrouma High School and the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She began her teaching career at Rudolph Matas Elementary School in Metairie. After two years, she returned to Baton Rouge and continued teaching in Ascension Parish.
Family was always at the heart of her life, and she had a remarkable talent for making everyone feel like they belonged. With her generous spirit, she shared an abundance of love through thoughtful gifts, often including fun gag gifts that brought plenty of laughter. Dianne always ensured there was dessert for everyone, making sure no one ever felt left out.
She is deeply loved by her Marabella, Noble & Berthelot families. Her first cousins on the Marabella side are: Tony Marabella (Diane), Carol Netherly Marabella, Terry Marabella Vitrano (Greg), Roz Marabella Breaux, Frankie Marabella, and Missy Heloin Reid (Chris), who also brought many blessings to Dianne and the Marabella family. In the Berthelot family, she is close to her sister-in-law Pat Starks, her kind and loving daughters Vickie (Les) and Cherie (John), her sons Bruce (Dana) and Perry (Marilyn), her brother-in-law Don Berthelot (Sue), their son John, along with many other family members and dear friends.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Always Best Care and its caring staff for their compassion and support over the past year.
