
A retail furniture store owner and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, he died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 79. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Sunday, March 22, was from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Visiting at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Monday, March 23, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael Collins. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. He is survived by four daughters, Karen Phillips, Jan Newman, Mary Johnstone and Phyllis Sorbet; two sons, Jay Inzenga and Steven Inzenga; a sister, Maria Cloessner; a brother, Anthony Inzenga; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Inzenga; parents, Tony and Mary Inzenga; a sister, Gwen Inzenga; and a granddaughter, Jessica Inzenga. Pallbearers will be Anthony Inzenga, Ryan Inzenga, Kyle Johnstone, Chase Phillips, Phil Sorbet and Chevies Newman. He was a graduate of Catholic High School and attended LSU. Don was devoted to his recently deceased wife of 59 years and dedicated to his six children. He was known to his grandkids as "Don" and friends as "Big I." He was an avid golfer. He loved the game and was very proud he was able to shoot his age. Don's quick-witted humor will be missed. A special thanks to Tammy and Sharon for their loving care of our parents.
