A retired Ethyl Corp. employee, he died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 87 and a native of Ponca City, Okla. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the pacific theater in World War II, having achieved the rank of lieutenant, junior grade. Visiting at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolf. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Okla. on Feb. 29. He is survived by a son, Richard Bee Crawford, Davie, Fla.; a granddaughter, Marianne Crawford; and a great-grandson, Teviss Crawford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Crawford. He was a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church and longtime member of the church choir and a member of the American Society of Cost Engineers. Memorial donations requested to the Broadmoor Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity.
