Donald T. O'Neill Jr.

Donald T. “Donnie” O’Neill Jr., a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the age of 65. Donnie was retired from Exxon Mobil Refinery as a Rotating Equipment Specialist after 35 years of service. He was a highly crafted machinist, pilot and boat mechanic who enjoyed boat rides and had a passion for fishing. Donnie was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue Patterson O’Neill; daughter, Cherie O’Neill Ledoux and husband Vernon; two sons, Michael Scott O’Neill and Wade Adam O’Neill; sister, Debbie O’Neill Mannino; brother, Gary O’Neill; granddaughter, Carlie Drago; and mother in law, Pauline Patterson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Carrie O’Neill Sr. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm and resume on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 12pm until funeral service at 2pm. Pallbearers will be Christopher Mannino, Brad Mannino, Jason Mannino, Scott O’Neill, Wade O’Neill, Vernon Ledoux, and honorary pallbearer will be Christian Mannino.
