Doris (Whatley) Andrews passed from this life peacefully on August 8, 2025. She went to be with her Lord and Savior as well as her loving husband of 51 years, A.K. "Andy" Andrews.

Doris was born on June 17, 1936, in Jena, Louisiana, to the union of Walter Steve and Florence Aseline (Price) Whatley. She attended Jena High School. She was a faithful member of Jefferson Baptist Church and was a retiree from Sears.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters Clarice (Whatley) Cowart, Vida Ruth (Whatley) Allbritton, Ethel Dean (Whatley) Frazier, Bess (Whatley) Frye, Sue (Whatley) Bradford and a brother Charlie Leon Whatley.

Doris is survived by her three sons, Scott Andrews of Walker, Kent and his wife Connie Andrews of Baton Rouge, and Kyle Andrews of Baton Rouge; She has one grandchild, Joshua D. Andrews, and his fiancée, Molly Easley, of Houston, TX; all of whom will miss her daily and strive to pattern their lives in a way that reflects her.

Doris's family would like to thank Griswold Home Care and Gentiva Hospice, who spent many hours taking care of her and visiting with her.
