Doris Hill LaRoche

Doris Hill LaRoche passed away on March 20, 2013 at The Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing at The Baton Rouge General Hospital. She grew up in Cocoa, FL and attended Stetson University in DeLand, FL. She was married for 67 years to Mr. James H. LaRoche, who worked for Exxon Chemical Co. in Baton Rouge. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, the Junior League of Baton Rouge, a docent at Magnolia Mound Plantation and a member of many other local clubs and organizations. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Hill of Cocoa, FL, her sister, Mrs. Inez Nichols of Miami, FL, her brother, Mr. L.B. Hill of Sebastian, FL and her husband, Mr. James LaRoche of Baton Rouge, LA. She is survived by her 3 children; Mr. Ronald L. LaRoche and wife Cindy of Delray Beach, FL, Ms. Gayle L. Furlow of Pensacola, FL, and Mr. James B. LaRoche and wife Fran of Austin, TX; and her 3 grandchildren, Mr. Preston L. LaRoche of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Ms. Renee L. LaRoche of Navarre, FL and Ms. Alison R. Furlow of Pensacola, FL. Visiting hours are on Saturday March 23, 2013 from 12 noon until funeral service at 2 p.m. in Rabenhorst Funeral Home Chapel, 825 Government St. The graveside ceremony will follow at Roselawn Cemetery on North Street.
